Issue Position

I'm a proud supporter of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which President Obama signed into law on March 23, 2010. This law is the most meaningful reform of our health care system since 1965. It will make Minnesotans healthier and rein in the skyrocketing costs of doing so. As a member of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, I will work to ensure that health reform serves the best interests of Minnesotans. Many benefits of the new law start right away, while others will be implemented over the next few years.
