Statement

Date: July 28, 2011
Location: Washington, DC

Congresswoman Hahn today called on President Obama to withdraw all U.S. troops and military contractors from Iraq by December 31st, 2011. In a letter addressed to the President, Congresswoman Hahn unites with ninety other Representatives advising the President that leaving troops and contractors in Iraq beyond the planned deadline will not serve our national security or our economy.

"We are spending too many dollars and too many promising lives abroad," said Congresswoman Hahn. "We need our young men and women and our dollars back in America, powering a new green economy, transforming our energy sector, and creating jobs. I am proud to join with ninety of my colleagues to encourage the President to finally get us out of Iraq."
