Issue Position

With national unemployment sitting at a staggering rate, job creation is my top priority. Government spending and regulations have placed an unnecessary burden on our economy. In my experience as a farmer, rancher and small business owner, I have seen first-hand how federal regulations impact businesses' ability to invest, hire and grow. To strengthen the economy and spur job creation, we need to eliminate burdensome regulations and rein in reckless federal spending.

I will continue to work for what's best for South Dakota's small business economy. My assignment to the Education and Workforce Committee and the Natural Resources Committee will give me unique opportunities to impact job creation on behalf of South Dakota.
