If we want to win the War on Terror, we must leave our political correctness behind and be honest about the root of the problem -- radical Islam. The unprecedented Islamic extremism is irreconcilable with the modern world and certainly is incompatible with everything America stands for. The United States cannot negotiate with terrorists, terror-sponsoring states, or those that seek to do harm to our allies.

In winning the War on Terror, or any other future conflict, our first responsibility is to protect our soil and our people. This cannot be done, however, without providing our military with the materials and resources they need to protect our native soil. Our homeland depends on a strong, robust military. An inadequately funded and equipped military is no way to fulfill a constitutional obligation to defend our nation. We must commit to protecting America in an increasingly dangerous world and continue to invest in our military strength. Our men and women in uniform deserve nothing less.
