Children are greatest resource and they need to be prepared for an increasingly competitive world. U.S. prosperity depends on the preparation they receive in school. That preparation should be governed by parents, not federal bureaucrats.
Parents know what educational choices are best for their children. Congress needs to empower them with the freedom to make those choices.
We need to decrease the role of the federal government in education, recognizing that successful education policy begins locally. We need to demand fiscal accountability from state departments of education with respect to federal monies, and allow parents to make the best possible decisions for their children's education.
