Country legend George Jones headlined a fundraising concert Saturday night in Ocean Springs in support of Phil Bryant.
Jones and his band prepared for a signature performance last night at the Ocean Springs Civic Center in an effort to energize Bryant's campaign.
The Grammy winner and his wife recently purchased a second home in Biloxi and during that move he took a liking to Phil Bryant.
Jones says he became interested in the move after hearing of the many troubles the state has overcome, specifically on the coast.
"We're gonna do some things here as much as we can. We're going to come and be here quite often and eventually hopefully we're going to get into some entertainment parts of what's going on in Mississippi," Jones said.
Jones says if you didn't make it to the concert, you missed out on some traditional country hits.
