Advantage Marshall: Twice as Much Cash on Hand

Press Release

Raises over $100k more than opponent for race

After releasing strong fundraising numbers, Kate Marshall's campaign this afternoon also announced Marshall had twice as much cash on hand as her opponent for the finance period ending June 30, 2011. In addition to Marshall's hefty $200k in the bank, she has also raised over $100k more than her opponent for the race. Nevadans' increasing support for Marshall's focus on job creation and promise to protect Medicare and Social Security is reflected in the race's financial picture.

"Nevadans know that Kate Marshall understands what's important to them, and that she will fight for them in Congress," said James Hallinan, communications director for Marshall's campaign. "The overwhelming grassroots excitement for her campaign to grow jobs and protect Social Security and Medicare is clear when you look at Marshall's strong fundraising advantage. Nevadans have a clear choice in this election-- Kate's proven financial management and record of fighting for Nevada families, or an opponent who wants to end Medicare and who sponsored a billion dollar tax increase on Nevada families."

Marshall's strong grassroots appeal netted contributions from 25 different Nevada cities and 85% of donors made contributions of less than $250.
