Congressman Ben Quayle (R-AZ) released the following statement Wednesday to announce the launch of the American Job Creators initiative on his website. American Job Creators is an interactive initiative that allows local businesses to share with Members of Congress how government regulations are holding them back. Last week, Congressman Quayle sent a letter to hundreds of Arizona business leaders inviting them to participate.

"Over the past two and a half years, the Democrats who control Washington have churned out an unprecedented number of new regulations that are impedingour job creators. According to a report by the Small Business Administration, regulatory compliance costs total $1.75 trillion annually, which amounts to a hidden tax of 11.9 percent of U.S. GDP. With American Job Creators, House Republicans are inviting local business owners to help us identify which regulations are negatively impacting them so we can enhance their ability to bring on new workers."
