George has consistently been a vocal critic of President Bush's war in Iraq and he voted against the war resolution in 2002. He supports efforts to redeploy our troops from Iraq and Afghanistan in a way that is swift, safe, and secure and protects both America's soldiers and our long-term interests. He has repeatedly voted for legislation that would bring the wars to a close.
George has advocated for a two-state solution that ensures that a democratic, Jewish Israel and a viable Palestinian state are able to co-exist peacefully.
George has also recently voiced his support for democratic aspirations in places like Egypt, but remains concerned about committing additional U.S. troops to foreign conflicts.
