Webster Statement on Unemployment Numbers

Statement

Date: June 3, 2011
Location: Washington DC

Congressman Daniel Webster (R-Winter Garden) released the following statement today regarding the May unemployment numbers:

"May's unemployment numbers illustrate how the tax-and-spend policies of Washington have failed many struggling Central Floridians and small business owners. While politicians claimed that spending trillions of dollars would stimulate the economy, the reality behind the rhetoric is setting in, and American families are suffering the pain. A real recovery - one that gives incentives to job creators and small business owners - will put Americans back to work.

"I urge the President and the Senate to be receptive to economic policies that will instill confidence in American businesses and will spur them to grow,"said Congressman Webster.
