My name is Ron Williams and I seek your support and your vote to be our next Governor. I am a 52 year old contractor and small business owner. I am not a politician.
My wife Towana and I have four children. We own and operate HazMat Services Inc, a small business in Mississippi. We have been blessed to be a successful part of Mississippi's economy for 20 years.
My only campaign promises are this. In my endeavors to promote the best Mississippi possible, I will not lie, deceive, or misrepresent the truth to you. Nor will I place any special interest above the best interest of all. Now, let's talk about the Great State of Mississippi.
Mississippi is a wonderful place with a diversity of citizens and cultures that only adds to the fabric of your lifestyles and traditions. We have the best workers I know of. We have great educational potential. When you take these assets and combine them with what is a beautiful place to live, work and play, there should be UNLIMITED OPPORTUNITY for everyone.
I cannot ask for your support, without telling you some of the specific goals and ideas I would like to pursue, so here are a few.
1. We must prioritize learning as the sole purpose of education funding.
2. We need legal protection in the form of tort reform for all Businesses in Mississippi. Businesses are more confident to grow and create jobs when they're not confronted with ambiguous and unlimited liability.
3. We must address the problems of substance abuse and anything that
threatens the future of our young people and the security of our communities.
It is imperative that we give law enforcement and our legal system whatever
tools they need to combat this problem. The depth of this problem cannot be
underestimated nor ignored any longer.
4. Fiscal responsibility is not an option. It is a necessity. I do not believe that it was the intention of our predecessors that Governments have the duty or authority to create enormous debt for it's constituents.
5. Government agencies must realize that their responsibility is to provide for, and not to prohibit the pursuit of personal happiness or commercial success.
6. We must provide an open and competitive market for Insurance Sources. By increasing competition we can expect lower rates for homeowner and other insurance needs.
These are just a few of the issues I want to confront. I ask that you provide me with comments and suggestions for the things that you wish for our State.
Yes, we have some issues and problems to overcome, but we can fix this.
Thank You
Ron Williams
