Press Release

Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers, MI-08 and a member of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce, voted today for the third time in two weeks to allow for more American energy exploration and to create jobs.

"Automobile travel is a necessity in nearly every area of Michigan, meaning that soaring gasoline prices hurt the family budget, increasing the cost of doing everything from going to work to taking the kids to soccer practice.

"We shouldn't continue to choke off our own energy sources while American families struggle to pay soaring gas prices. Safe and clean American energy exploration means cheaper gas, more American jobs and increased energy security."
