Join me for the 16th District Human Rights Conference next month

The 16th Congressional District Human Rights Conference on International and Domestic Trafficking in Persons will take place from 8:30 am to 12:00 noon at New Life Assembly of God Church, 1991 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, PA, (located at the intersection of Route 30 and Route 340) on Saturday, September 18, 2004. The conference is open to the public (by RSVP). This conference will help educate people in our area and connect them with resources to get involved in ending this form of modern day slavery. To address the issues surrounding trafficking in persons, leading experts in the field will share their insight as well as ideas about how citizens can help bring an end to this heinous crime and bringing healing to victims' lives. Expert panelists will include special guests K.K. Deveraj, Director of Teen Challenge in Bombay, India; Michele Clark, Co-Director of the Protection Project at John Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies; and, representatives from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and the Department of Justice. Those interested in attending should contact my Washington, DC office at 202 225-2411. For more information on Trafficking in Persons visit:
