Senate Democrats Hit 750 Days Without A Budget

House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Tom Price, M.D. (R-GA) issued the following statement on the 750th day since Senate Democrats passed a budget.

"While Democrats may talk a lot about fiscal responsibility, their actions tell a far different story. For over two years, Senate Democrats have not bothered to even pass a budget -- refusing to take the most basic first step to getting spending under control," said Chairman Price. "This inaction demonstrates a complete disinterest on the part of Washington Democrats to do what is necessary to restore a positive environment for economic growth and job creation. Rather than exercising leadership, they have resorted to launching misleading and dishonest attacks on Republicans and our responsible proposals to avoid a spending-driven debt crisis. Senate Democrats ought to work with House Republicans on spending cuts and budget reforms because our nation cannot afford another two years of empty promises."
