Statement

Date: May 4, 2011
Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Abortion

Keeping with his longtime commitment to protecting the unborn, U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) today voted in favor of the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, a bill that would prohibit federal taxpayer dollars from being used to support abortions. Luetkemeyer is an original co-sponsor of the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act.

"I have spent my career fighting to protect the rights of the unborn, and I will continue to do so. No taxpayer dollars should be used to pay for abortions, and this legislation seeks to ensure that taxpayers' dollars are not used to help end a life. All life, including the unborn, must be treated with dignity and respect."
