"House Republicans came to Washington with one primary goal this year: create an environment conducive to job creation in America," said Chairman Price. "The latest unemployment report indicates the uncertainty that remains prevalent in the market resulting in sustained unemployment rates that are disturbingly high. It took more than 4 months to build the existing barriers to job creation and the task of tearing those down has only just begun. House Republicans will continue to promote legislation that ends the spending-driven debt crisis and encourages our free enterprise to thrive. We look to Democrats in Washington to begin working with us in our efforts rather than blocking our every move, making it increasingly difficult for sustained economic growth and prosperity."
