Rep. Howard "Buck" McKeon (R-CA) issued the following statement following passage of H.R. 3, the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act:
"Americans have strongly voiced the need for Congress to rein in federal spending of taxpayer dollars. Today, I voted to keep that promise with the constituents of the 25th Congressional District by supporting the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, which ensures that hard-earned taxpayer dollars are not used to fund abortions.

"Not only was this the right fiscal vote for the country, it was also a vote to help protect the sanctity of life."
