U.S. Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) released the following statement in recognition of Friday's Earth Day.

"From the shores of the Great Bay to the Great North Woods, Earth Day is a time to celebrate New Hampshire's natural beauty, and to remember our obligation to preserve our natural resources for future generations. It is an opportunity to reflect on the implications of our energy and environmental practices as a nation, and to recommit to finding new solutions to improve them."
