Today U.S. Congressman Dean Heller (R-NV) made the following statement on Tax Day.
"The federal tax code is incredibly burdensome and serves as an impediment to economic growth. Moreover, there are those who believe that raising taxes to pay for big government is a better solution than reigning in federal spending. With high unemployment and so many middle class families struggling to get by in today's economy, raising taxes should not be an option. Congress can provide greater economic certainty by working to eliminate our nation's job-killing debt through cuts in federal spending and making America more competitive through reforms to the tax code. Removing impediments to job creation will get Nevada working again and ensure our children and grandchildren have a brighter future," said Heller.
