Issue Position

Janice has always been a strong supporter of universal health care, and as a member of Congress, she is standing up to attacks on President Obama's health care law. She believes that the Affordable Care Act is a step in the right direction, but we must do more to improve access and expand coverage to more Americans.

Janice strongly believes we must create a health care public option so that all Americans can have the opportunity to obtain health care coverage. Additionally, Janice wants to implement electronic medical records and better coordinate healthcare services, especially for people suffering from multiple chronic illnesses.

\Janice has always been a strong supporter of universal health care, and as a member of Congress, she will fight to prevent any repeal of President Obama's health care law. While she believes that President Obama's health care law was a step in the right direction, if elected, Janice wants to work with Congressional Leaders to do more to improve access and expand coverage to more Americans. If elected, she plans to work with the Congressional Leadership to create a health care public option so that all Americans could have the opportunity to obtain health care coverage.

As a Councilwoman, Janice fought to secure health care for over 5,000 LAX Airport workers, and she stood side by side with Unite HERE workers along the hotel corridor at LAX to help them receive a living wage with health care benefits.
