Congressman Bill Johnson (OH-6) today applauded the U.S. Senate's repeal of the harmful 1099 provision in the Democrats' job-crushing healthcare law:
"I'm glad to see U.S. Senators join with the U.S. House to repeal the harmful 1099 provision in the Democrats' job-destroying healthcare law. The 1099 rule created onerous burdens of paperwork on small businesses that are struggling to make ends meet in a difficult economy. This provision was a clear example of how government intrusion in the private sector can hamper economic recovery. I hope the President will sign this repeal into law immediately to show small business owners and working families that Washington is committed to spurring job creation in the private sector instead of grounding it to a halt with burdensome rules and regulations."
