Oregon's Senator Jeff Merkley issued the following statement on the 2012 Republican budget plan:

"The House leadership's budget resolution is great if you happen to be an oil executive or a financial titan on Wall Street, but not for our seniors. Dismantling Medicare while giving bonus tax breaks to the very wealthiest in America is what may pass for bold in Washington, but in Oregon it is unacceptable."
