Price Statement on March Jobs Report

Location: Washington, DC

House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Tom Price, M.D. (R-GA) issued the following statement in response to the latest unemployment report.

"It is positive that we are headed in the right direction, but far more needs to be done in order to rebuild our economy and create opportunities for more Americans," said Chairman Price. "Providing greater economic certainty and breaking down barriers to job creation has been and will continue to be the focus of House Republicans. Americans understand that in order to generate long-term, robust, and sustainable job growth, Washington must cut spending and put the country on a fiscally responsible path. Thus far, there has been a stubborn unwillingness on the part of Senate Democrats and the White House to confront our debt crisis and propose responsible solutions to create a better environment for job creators. For the sake of millions of Americans still without a job, Democrats should stop playing politics and get to work."
