Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-Okla.), a senior member of the Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) and co-chair of the Senate Army Caucus, today received the Military Order of the Purple Heart (MOPH) Award for Inspirational Leadership. This annual award is presented to one national leader each year for their outstanding service to members of our military and veterans.

"I am honored to receive this prestigious award from the MOPH," said Inhofe. "As a fellow veteran and ranking member of SASC, I am dedicated to serving the needs of our brave men and women in uniform and veterans. This has been one of my top priorities in the Senate, because it is so vitally important to the strength and security of our nation. I will continue to advocate for the best possible care and recognition for our nation's Armed Forces and veterans. Anything less is unacceptable."

"The MOPH is very appreciative of the consistent support of veterans by Senator Inhofe," said MOPH National Commander Clayton Jones.
