Congressman Steve Chabot (OH-1) joined Speaker Boehner and other Republican lawmakers today at the Forum on Job Creation in the United States Capitol. This forum brought together lawmakers and business leaders to discuss the effects taxes and regulations have on businesses struggling to create jobs and increase investments. Business owners from around the country participated in person, as well as via video conference.
Congressman Chabot gave the following statement regarding the Forum:
"Our top priority in Congress must be revitalizing the economy, and getting the input of business owners is vital to doing that. We can no longer ask businesses to create jobs while tying their hands with massive taxes and unnecessary regulations.
The forum today reaffirms my belief that small businesses will be the engine that drives our economic recovery. We must eliminate the fear and uncertainty that continues to cripple our economy and the sooner Washington moves out of the way, the sooner businesses can put Americans back to work."
