Washington, DC - March 3, 2011 - In the 2010 National Journal Annual Ratings, Congressman Tim Holden was ranked the 14th most conservative Democrat in the second session of the 111th Congress. Rep. Holden was ranked the 187th most conservative member in all of Congress, fourth most conservative remaining Democrat after the 2010 midterm elections.

"I've always prided myself on working to find bipartisan solutions to the problems of the country and am proud that my voting record reflects that bipartisanship." stated Congressman Holden.

National Journal examined 100 roll-call votes in the House of Representatives in 2010 that were categorized as economic, foreign, and social. Economic issues dominated the House of Representatives in 2010 which resulted in fewer votes on foreign affairs or social issues. Each roll-call vote was assigned a weight based on the degree which it correlated with other votes in the same area and Members were ranked from liberal to conservative based on their final vote percentage. Congressman Holden had a composite score of voting conservatively during 54.5% of these roll-call votes.
