House Republican Policy Committee Chairman Tom Price, M.D. (R-GA) issued the following statement in response to reports that the Obama Administration plans to add a signature to a U.N. Security Council statement criticizing Israel.

"Undermining Israel, our strongest ally in the Middle East, is diplomatically irresponsible and threatens any opportunity there may be to find common ground and work toward a peaceful end to the conflict in the region," said Chairman Price. "This is not the first time the Obama Administration has offered a cold shoulder to Israel and shaken our long-standing alliance. Now we learn they may condone an obvious anti-Israel effort within the UN that will only empower those in the Middle East who seek to undermine democracy and fuel continued unrest. I call on the Obama Administration to correct its course and reiterate to the people of Israel and our other allies around the world that the United States stands with those who seek peace and freedom."
