Any drop in the unemployment rate is positive news, but we cannot grow accustomed to anything remotely close to this kind of economic environment. Both parties share a sense of urgency to get people back to work, but we have fundamentally different visions for how to achieve that goal. Republicans in the House are following through on our pledge to cut the federal budget back to 2008 levels--one part of our efforts to restore a much-needed sense of confidence for our job creators. Arizonans, like all Americans, understand how serious our fiscal situation is; they've had enough of leaders in Washington who gloss over our problems and turn words like spending into "investing." Tough decisions are in order, and they are no longer avoidable. Republicans in the House are already making these decisions, and we're just getting started.
