Today Congress is scheduled to vote on H.R. 2, a bill repealing the Obama health care bill. Congressman Rob Woodall (R-GA-07) issued the following statement:

"There are a lot of tough decisions to be made in the 112th Congress. For me, repealing the egregious Obama health care bill will not be one of them. This decision is easy. The goal of health care reform is not to have the government make the decisions for you, but to empower patients and families to make these decisions for themselves. Decisions like which doctor you see and which benefits are in the insurance plan you purchase should be made by individual Americans--not bureaucrats in Washington."

"ObamaCare contains so much new bureaucracy that it took 2,800 pages to write. Repealing this monstrosity will only take two. The people of the Seventh District and the rest of America spoke out against the overreaching and overspending in ObamaCare when they voted in November. It is time for our leaders to show America that they are listening by voting for repeal today and begin tomorrow moving viable, market-based solutions to America's health care woes."
