On Monday, January 31, 2011, a federal judge in Florida ruled that ObamaCare's individual mandate, and by extension, the entire ObamaCare law, is unconstitutional. Congressman Rob Woodall (R-GA-07) issued the following statement in response:
"Today's decision by a federal court in Florida reaffirms that ObamaCare violates the supreme law of the land. Our federal government has no place in the medical decisions of individual Americans, and I was proud to stand with my colleagues earlier this month and vote in favor of repealing this monstrosity of a bill. I will continue to work hard on behalf of the Seventh District to produce health care reform Americans can support--a viable, market-based approach that will preserve a patients' ability to keep their respective health care plans if they like them."
