In order to ensure American competitiveness in the 21st century, Congress must remain dedicated to promoting educational excellence at the K-12 level, and promoting higher education so students can achieve their dreams and build the workforce of the future. Congressman Blackburn understands these important principles, and believes that Federal education policy should promote local control, diversity in choice, and community-based curricula driven by community needs.
