Location: Washington, DC
Issues: Abortion

U.S. Rep. Blaine Luetkemeyer (MO-9) today issued the following statement regarding tomorrow's anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's January 22, 1973, decision legalizing abortion:

"I firmly believe that all human life is precious and deserves to be treated with the highest dignity and respect. It begins at conception and should be protected at all stages of life. I can assure you I will continue to support legislation that protects the unborn and will vigorously oppose measures that expand abortion or allow taxpayer dollars to be used for abortions."
