Congressman Jeff Denham (CA-19) today voted in support of H.R. 2, the bill to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The health care law pushed through Congress last year infringes on the rights of the American people and places heavier tax burdens and regulations on small businesses that will only prolong our road to recovery.
In the bi-partisan vote, the House successfully voted to repeal the health care law passed by Congress last year with a final count of 245 to 189.
"This was a bi-partisan vote to repeal the health care law," said Rep. Denham. "It is important that Republicans now begin working together to create a health care law that provides stability for the workforce and has a common vision for the future."
Rep. Jeff Denham today spoke on the floor of the House of Representatives in favor of the repeal of the government takeover of health care. Below are links to the video and to the full text of his speech.
