Rep. Ben Quayle (R-AZ) released the following statement Friday afterthe Department of Labor issued its December unemployment report.
"While today's jobs report showed some good news, including the addition of 113,000 private-sector jobs, we're still far from where we need to be. Twenty consecutive months with the unemployment rate exceeding 9 percent is not acceptable in this country. Both chambers of Congress and the White House must do everything possible to encourage American companies to innovate, expand and hire, and that starts with getting our spiraling national debt under control by making significant cuts throughout the federal government. We have to put an end to the uncertainty that has been holding back job creators for the past two years so that America can retain its rightful place as the best place to do business in the world."
