Blog: Government Reform Package Garners Endorsements

Statement

Date: Jan. 6, 2011

This week, I brought forth a legislative package to encourage much-needed government reforms, to bring needed transparency to Congress and to restore fiscal responsibility. These are the types of initiatives needed to fundamentally change the way we do business in Washington. Yesterday, I outlined the bills in the package in the Marietta Daily Journal, and explained why this is important to our country's future generations.

Collectively, these bills have garnered nearly 100 co-sponsors and have been endorsed by a number of important organizations. The Federal Employee Accountability Act has been endorsed by Americans for Tax Reform, the Alliance for Worker Freedom, Citizens Against Government Waste, Americans for Limited Government, Americans for Prosperity, the National Taxpayers Union, and the Competitive Enterprise Institute. The Enumerated Powers Act has been endorsed by Americans for Limited Government. The Member's Representational Allowance bill has been endorsed by Citizen's Against Government Waste. The Military Construction and Veterans Affairs legislation has been endorsed by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. The Congressional Budget and Accountability Act has been endorsed by Citizen's Against Government Waste.
