Coffman Condemns Attack on Rep. Giffords

Congressman Mike Coffman (R-CO) issued the following statement condemning the attack on Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) and members of her staff today in Tucson:

"I work closely with Rep. Giffords on the House Armed Services Committee and I am shocked and saddened to hear about this brutal, senseless attack on her and her staff," Coffman said. "I know her to be a warm and soft-spoken person, who was always willing to put partisan differences aside on that committee for the good of her constituents. My thoughts and prayers are with Congresswoman Giffords, her staff, all those who were injured or killed and their families on this sad day."
