Issue Position

As a nation we cannot underestimate the importance of Agriculture in our daily lives and our economy. We must work together to preserve a safe and reliable food source. Whether dairy or grain, fruit or livestock, we must work to preserve our family farms through sensible stewardship and conservation. Congress must ensure our small family farms are economically viable and easier to pass on to the next generation.

Home to many agricultural resources, including the Ohio Agricultural Research and Development Center, our district boasts 570, 855 acres of farm land with market value of products sold totaling over $477 million.

I intend to build on Ohio's rich agricultural past by working on renewable energy efforts that will create good-paying jobs in Ohio and reward our farmers for their attention to environmental concerns. I consider it a privilege to work for Ohio's farmers and to promote our state's agricultural heritage.
