I believe that all elected officials are public servants. Their pay should be kept low to discourage unethical individuals from seeking public service for financial gain and power. I also believe that voters should look to elect individuals with a proven track record of integrity, service, and good judgment.
Both the US and Wyoming Congress should not receive any benefits after leaving office, but should be subjected to all of the laws which they have passed. I would support legislation on either term limits or limiting the number of successive terms an individual may serve. When elected officials live separated from their constituents for too long, they lose the ability to see all the effects of their legislation. New representatives can bring fresh ideas, while people in office too long stagnate.
