Cleaning Up Albany
Like all of us, Joe is frustrated with Albany's dysfunction. But Joe is doing something about it. For the past two years he has worked with a bipartisan group of reform-minded colleagues to improve the way the Senate operates. He has voted for tough new laws to prevent future ethical violations. And he has written laws that reform election law and make sure our votes count, including those in the military serving our country overseas.
Joe cosponsored legislation creating the independent nonpartisan redistricting commission. And Joe continues to fight for campaign finance reform and a public financing system, working to build consensus around these changes. With Joe's leadership, the Senate has seen more reforms in the past two years than in the previous 40. But Joe Addabbo knows we have a long way to go. He is ready to work even harder to fix Albany.
