Congressman Courtney versus Janet Peckinpaugh on Extending Tax Relief

Janet Peckinpaugh, the Republican candidate for Congress in the Second District, contrasted her views on the impending $3.7 billion tax hike with those incumbent Congressman Joe Courtney. "People are trying to figure out how to make ends meet," said Peckinpaugh. "Tax increases just as our economy is trying to bounce back from recession are reckless and wrong. It's shameful that Congressman Courtney voted to adjourn Congress so he could campaign instead of doing his job to stop the tax hikes."
