Griffin: Voters want campaign on jobs and debt, not false accusations and negative attacks

Second District Congressional candidate, U.S. Army Reservist and former U.S. Attorney Tim Griffin today scored a decisive debate victory at the Donald W. Reynolds Performance Hall on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas, drawing a sharp contrast between himself and his opponents in his campaign to succeed outgoing U.S. Rep. Vic Snyder.

In the debate hosted by AETN, Griffin focused on the need for private sector job creation and getting the nation's fiscal house in order, noting that Speaker Nancy Pelosi and President Obama possess a "misplaced reliance on government" and noting that he is the clear choice to be a check and balance to their job-killing, debt-increasing agenda.

"Our campaign has earned the financial and grassroots support of Democrats, Republicans and Independents in all eight counties of the Second District," Griffin said. "Voters want an issue-based campaign on how best to get the private sector to create jobs and to get our fiscal house in order, not a campaign based on false accusations and negative attacks that don't create one new job or take one dollar off the national debt.

"Voters are seeing clear distinctions between my views and those of my opponents. If you are fine with the direction the country is going and want more of the Pelosi-Obama agenda, then you can vote for my opponent. However, if you want to elect common sense leadership to Washington, I ask for your vote starting on October 18."
