Conservative small business owner and Republican Nominee for Lieutenant Governor Mark Darr was the clear winner of Tuesday night's debate hosted by AETN. Mark Darr was the only candidate who had a clear understanding of issues facing our state and offered his proven plan for job creation in Arkansas.
"Mark Darr's vision for getting Arkansas back on track shows exactly why Arkansans are supporting him over 14-year career politician and liberal Senator Shane Broadway. While Mark was sharing his vision, Senator Shane Broadway was quoting talking points straight from the national Democrat Party and President Obama's playbook," said Tyler F. Dunegan, Campaign Manager. "Mark Darr knows this election is about issues that are important to the citizens of Arkansas not about spreading the same old tired positions and fallacies we're used to hearing from Democrats," Dunegan continued.
During the debate Darr focused on his experience in the business world saying, "As a small business owner, I realize that economic development isn't made at the Capitol, it's made out in the workforce. We've got to make Arkansas more business-friendly."
The debate made certain that there is a clear choice in the race. Voters can choose between a small business owner with a proven record of creating jobs and an advocate for smaller, more transparent government, or they can choose between an incumbent career politician who has never created a job and advocates for more government growth and spending.
