Issue Position

It is time to downsize our state government both fiscally and physically. We need to apply current technologies to eliminate duplication of records and responsibilities, increase operational efficiency, and streamline the process when multiple agencies are involved to meet the public need. I support our capable state agency Commissioners to examine operating costs, we need to ask them to review the programs offered in their department. Are the programs necessary to provide a safety net for our most vulnerable citizens? Are the programs being provided in the most efficient way? If programs are no longer appropriately meeting those needs we would eliminate them by asking the Commissioners to prioritize programming so that reduction can be made with real data in front of us.
