I am leading the charge to secure funds to combat beach erosion. I have also requested that the Army Corps of Engineers consider utilizing foreign sources of sand. Our beaches are critical to both our tourist economy and protecting against storms and rising waters.

I have called on the Florida Department of Transportation to provide a commonsense solution for beach residents and visitors to utilize the 1-95 Hot Lanes.

I have raised several concerns over the construction of the Port of Miami Tunnel. Traffic delays caused by the tunnel construction could have a devastating effect on beach commuters and visitors.
