Statement Of Representative Steve Driehaus On September 11th

Press Release

Date: Sept. 13, 2010
Location: Washington, DC

Representative Driehaus today issued the following statement on the ninth anniversary of the September 11th attacks:

"It has been nearly a decade since 9/11, but the pain of that day will be forever seared in the memory of all Americans. We continue to mourn those who were lost. We remember the selfless courage of our first responders who ran into the fire, or climbed the rubble in search of survivors. We pledge our unwavering support for the families of victims and for those who still suffer the effects of that day. We remain steadfast in our efforts to combat global terrorism and violent extremism.

As our nation faces a different set of challenges today, we must strive for the unified sense of purpose and commitment that moved the United States forward after 9/11: that there is no struggle too great for our nation to overcome."
