Anyone who's spent any time in Ohio's schools knows that our education system needs to be strengthened. Zack has been fighting to bring resources to Ohio schools and make sure that they're able to get what they need. While holding teachers and schools accountable for what they're teaching our students, it's fundamentally unfair and counterproductive to hold them to No Child Left Behind mandates while starving them of the critically important resources needed to hit these goals.

Especially in need of resources are schools in rural areas like Ohio's 18th Congressional District. Zack's been a fighter in overcoming the disparities seen between rural and urban areas, and our schools are no exception. While schools in urban areas benefit from resources like broadband and the educational opportunities it affords, the lack of this critical piece of infrastructure all too often sets rural schools even further behind, leaving more ground to make up. That's why Zack has been fighting to bring broadband to Appalachia and bring crucial technology funding to schools in Southeastern and East Central Ohio. Through this work, critical first steps have been taken to begin overcoming the digital divide in rural Ohio.
