Developing Montana Made Energy
"Montana has the potential to lead America to energy independence. With our abundant supply of coal, oil, natural gas, wind, hydropower, solar, biomass, and geothermal sources of energy, we just need to take the necessary steps to turn these options into solutions. As a member of the Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittee, I am working hard in Congress to drive new technology breakthroughs and create incentives for renewable energy production. We must remain committed to developing our vast resources in an environmentally-sound manner that will provide good jobs and low energy prices for Montana's families"
Denny is Making a Difference:
* Cosponsored the 25 by 25 initiative that establishes a goal that by 2025, no less than 25% of our energy consumption will be provided by renewable energy generated from U.S. agriculture, forestry and working land
* As a member of the House Energy and Water Appropriations Subcommittee, Congressman Rehberg has a seat at the table in Dept of Energy funding priorities and worked to secure necessary research dollars for MSU for clean coal technology like the Center for Zero Emissions Research & Technology
* Helped craft and pass a comprehensive energy policy that creates a balanced framework to provide more American made energy through the development of coal, oil, gas, cellulosic ethanol, wind, and other sources, while at the same time promoting conservation and the development of new technologies
