Coming from a family dedicated to military service, Julie Lassa is committed to the men and women of our armed forces. Julie knows that we must root out the threat of terrorism wherever it may reside to protect our homeland. She believes that we should bring our troops home from wars in Iraq and Afghanistan as soon as it is safely and securely possible.
Julie believes that for too long Washington has not made our service members and veterans a priority. Julie will fight for them to ensure that our veterans have access to the benefits they have earned. She will work to reduce the claims and backlogs that prevent veterans and military families from receiving their benefits on time. Julie believes that improving access to health care and improving veterans' hospitals is crucial so that our service members can receive the high-quality care they deserve.
Julie also believes that our service men and women must have every opportunity at their disposal in their transition to civilian life. From health care to job skills training, Julie will fight to ensure not only our veterans' service is honored, but that they have the resources they need to thrive in their communities upon returning home.
