Issue Position

I applaud the Texas Legislature's recent changes to the TAKS test. For too long, the TAKS has created anxiety and stress on our students, parents, teachers and school staff. With the recent legislative changes, parents, educators and taxpayers still have accountability while our students remain focused on learning, not passing a test. My hat is off to the parents, educators and the Texas Legislature.
