Issue Position

Dan Coats has a strong record of protecting the sanctity of human life from the moment of conception. Dan has opposed federal funding of abortion, was one of the original supporters of the Partial Birth Abortion Act and was an original co-sponsor of legislation to prohibit minors from crossing state lines in order to avoid laws requiring the involvement of parents in abortion decisions. As the father of three and grandfather of seven, this is an issue close to Dan's mind and heart. His commitment to life has earned Dan the endorsements of National Right to Life, Indiana Right to Life and the Susan B. Anthony
